I am a total beginner, any options for me?

Free cancellation, with full refund, is permitted up to 24 hours before game. "No shows" can affect the game experience and are frowned upon.

What is the game withdrawal policy for individuals?

In extraordinary situations, we will make an exception. These include hospitalization or death in the family. Please contact transactions@strangersoccer.com with supporting documentation. Extraordinary situations do NOT include illness, injury, conflict at work, or the like. Remember, even if the game fills up after your last minute withdrawal, this is usually because our team spent time finding a replacement, often using discounts or by offering a free slot, so as to not disrupt the experience of other players.

Can you make an exception, and refund me less than 24 hours to game time?

A full refund will be made.

What happens if a game is cancelled?

Yes. By 'pre-booking' a recurring weekly slot at your favourite game, you will guarantee availability AND enjoy lower pricing: up to 10% less. Upon doing so, you will be automatically added to the weekly game when it is listed. Can't make it in a particular week? No worries. Just withdraw: standard cancellation rules apply. Can I lock in a slot in my regular game each week?

What is early bird pricing?

If a game is full, you can join the waiting list. If a spot opens up and you are the next in line, you will be automatically added to the game, and updated via App notification and email. You can also monitor the game itself, to see if you were added. Please ensure you have enough credits in your account to be added to the game

How does the waiting list work?

All players must turn up and wait up to 30 minutes from the game's start time. The Host or Referee will assess conditions, and determine whether to cancel the game. If the game is cancelled, a full refund will be issued. If the game is partially playable, a full or partial refund may apply, at management's discretion. For 11-a-side games, this generally means a full refund if <20 minutes were playable, and a 50% refund if the second half does not kick off. For all other games, this generally means a full refund if <1/3 of the game time was playable, and a 50% refund if <2/3 of the game time was playable.

What is the wet weather policy for uncovered pitches?

All your team needs to do is turn up and play.Or try a mini tournament, where your team can compete against a few others in a series of mini-games over a 2 hour period, to see who reigns supreme for the day.Team friendlies and mini tournaments come in all sizes (5,7,11) and tempos (relaxed, standard, competitive). How can my team join a friendly or mini-tournament?

Free cancellation, with full refund, is permitted up to 7 days before the game for small-sided team games, and up to 14 days before the game for 11-a-side team games. After that, cancellation is no longer permitted. If your plans change and you can't make it, contact us <a href="https://www.strangersoccer.com/contact-us" target="_blank">here</a> so we can take note. A "no show" negatively impacts your opponent(s) and may result in severe repercussions.

Easy. Go to the profile page. Click on the "Set up a team" tab. Enter the details of your team and submit. Now that your team is set up, you can book a friendly or mini-tournament with it.

How do memberships work?

Membership discounts may be used only by the named Member. Members are required to use an identifiable name and a clear full face picture in their profile at all times.

Are membership benefits transferrable?

You may cancel your plan on the app, any time before your next billing date. A cancellation received at least 72 hours before your next billing date will take effect on the next billing cycle, otherwise it will take effect on the following billing cycle. A billing cycle is either 1 month or 6 months, depending on the plan you chose. You may continue using the vouchers that you have paid for, until the date of expiry, after you cancel your plan. Please note that cancellations cannot take effect mid billing cycle.

How do I cancel my membership?

The preferred and most seamless way is to make online payment via credit or debit card, using our secure payment gateway. Note that a small transaction fee may apply to each purchase in some countries. As such, many users do prefer to purchase and maintain credits in their account, rather than paying for every game individually.

Can I transfer credits from my account?

Payment is only due once a game is confirmed. At that point, the fee will be automatically deducted from your account. If you do not have enough credits available, you will be notified to make "RSVP" payment within 24 hours. Failure to make an RSVP payment before the deadline is frowned upon; you will be removed from the game and may be prevented from joining future games.

What is RSVP payment and how does it work?

What time should I arrive at the game?

Most games will have an Official Host wearing a red "Stranger Soccer Host" top. Check in with him or her! Then just warm up. The Official Host will gather players, explain rules, and start the game just as soon as enough players have arrived.

What will happen when I arrive?

Stranger Soccer recognizes the importance of great hosts to enhance the game experience. Hosts welcome players and facilitate the game, ensuring fair, fun, and balanced play throughout. Most games will have a Stranger Soccer "Official Host", identifiable by his or her red shirt. He or she may even join in if an extra player is needed. On rare occasions, where an Official Host was unavailable, a "Volunteer Host" will serve as the host; for more information, click <a href="https://strangersoccer.com/our_hosts.php" target="_blank">here</a>.

How can I provide feedback on my game experience?

Yes. When you rate your game, you will be given the opportunity to show your appreciation with a tip. This is entirely voluntary, and 100% will go to the Official Host.

My Host was great. Can I tip him or her?

Respect is an important part of football, and Stranger Soccer is about friendly play. Do your part to observe Stranger Soccer's Code of Conduct at all times.&nbsp;<ul><li>Be on time and avoid "no shows". If you have a last-minute issue, do your part and inform us.</li><li>Remember that we play for fun and to enjoy the game. Aggressive or violent behaviour or language is not tolerated. Avoid criticizing other players.</li><li>Respect the Official Host and/or Referee's decisions. Win or lose with dignity.&nbsp;</li><li>Football is for everyone. Join us in embracing fair play and saying no to racism of any kind.</li><li>Observe good hygiene. Avoid spitting or unnecessary body contact.</li><li>Respect the platform &amp; community. If you would like to connect with other players, do so through the App. Remember that all players have agreed to not solicit or collect contact information from other players to set up games (or to recruit for leagues or clubs) outside of Stranger Soccer, and doing so may result in severe repercussions. Players who are active organizers of such activities may be preemptively precluded from using the platform.&nbsp;</li></ul> If a player does not follow the Code of Conduct, any/all of the following actions may be taken at Stranger Soccer's discretion: <ul><li>A warning or "Yellow Card"</li><li>A "Red Card" suspension from the platform for a specified period of time&nbsp;</li><li>A permanent ban from Stranger Soccer&nbsp;</li></ul>

What is the Stranger Soccer Code of Conduct?

Stay calm and speak to the Official Host, pointing out any unsportsmanlike behaviour. If the behaviour is severe or unresolved, be sure to make note of it in your game rating so Stranger Soccer can take appropriate action.

What if I encounter a player who is rough, unsportsmanlike, or otherwise not observing the Code of Conduct? 

As per the Stranger Soccer Code of Conduct, and the Terms &amp; Conditions that all players have agreed to, users may not solicit or collect contact information from other players to set up games (or to recruit for leagues or clubs) outside of Stranger Soccer. Out of respect for the platform &amp; community, players who wish to connect should do so through the App. If you observe such behaviour, be sure to report it in your game rating or to Customer Service, so that Stranger Soccer can take appropriate action.

What if I encounter a player who is recruiting for other games (or leagues or clubs) outside Stranger Soccer?
